Frank P. Fiorello, 87 of Staten Island, New York died on Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at Staten Island University Hospital South in Staten Island, New York. Born Friday, June 22, 1928 in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of the late Joseph and Cecilia. Beloved husband of Josephine. Loving father of Cecilia Heron, Joseph Fiorello and Michael Fiorello. Fond father-in-law of Joseph Heron, Anne Fiorello and Cathy Fiorello. Dear brother of Joseph Fiorello, Rose Failla, Susan Passalacqua and Cecilia Pellerito. Devoted grandfather of Joseph, Jennifer, Frank, John and Stephanie and great grandfather of Jackson. Joseph Zissel, 92 of Huguenot, a Local 3 Electrician’s Helper who retired in 1985, will be remembered for his love of family, friends and his Holy Child family. He died Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at his home under hospice care. Caring for him around the clock were his wonderful aides, Burnice, Lucille, Margaret and Louisa. Joseph’s interests included gardening and helping others. He loved listening and singing along with his music collection of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Nat King Cole and Bing Crosby recordings. He served our Country during WWII as a Private First Class in the Army, serving in Europe. When he came home he met the love of his life, Angelina, with whom they celebrated 60 years of marriage, before her death in 2006. Born in Brooklyn, Mr. Zissel has been a Staten Island resident for nine years, living with his daughter and son-in-law. Beloved father of Annmarie Starita and John Zissel. Loving father-in-law of Robert Starita and Roseann Zissel. Native Staten Islander, Fred S. Cericola, 82 died on Saturday, March 12, 2016, at Staten Island University Hospital South in Staten Island. He was born in Mariners Harbor and settled in Eltingville in 1971. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict aboard the USS Wisconsin. He was a member in good standing for over 50 years as a Free and Accepted Mason. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Elizabeth; his daughter Donnamarie Giannone; his son-in-law Mark Giannone and his grandchildren, Justin, Nicole and Alexa. He was predeceased by his daughter Renee. A Funeral service will be at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at The John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals, Inc. located at 28 Eltingville Blvd. (at Eltingville Station) Staten Island. Madeline (Nee Philo) Daggett, 95 of Eltingville passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2016, at Eger Health Care & Rehab. Center in Staten Island, New York. Born Saturday, May 22, 1920 in New York, New York, she was the loving daughter of the late Arthur Philo and Helen McCave Philo. A graduate of New Dorp Highschool in Graniteville, Madeline was a former Medical Transcriptionist for the Staten Island Physicians Group (Formerly the Staten Island HIP Center) where she retired in 1998 at the age of 78. Madeline was a member of the Renew Group at Holy Child Church where she was also a parishoner. Madeline enjoyed her Great Grandchildren and loved keeping in touch with them in Arizona by phone and letters. She owned a number of pets and cared for them while enjoying their company. She was a great cook and baker of Pies and cakes. She will be remembered fondly for her Feisty personality and her Quick Wit! Beloved wife of the late Edwin Daggett who predeceased her in 2002. Loving mother of Mikki Jones and the late Roger John Reumert. Devoted aunt to John and Karen Ladley who were her caregivers. Cherished grandmother of 2 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
